Hello Sliders,

We haven't had any new snow here in Southern California this week but don't let that stop you from heading out. Mammoth is planning to open more terrain this weekend and conditions are great!! I skied there Veteran's Day and it felt like mid-winter conditions. Here are your deals.....

Mammoth Mountain - First Pipe to Open in N. America!

Mammoth has a 4-6' base. No snow expected through the weekend but weather should be nice.

Mammoth will open more terrain on 11/19/04 with Canyon and Eagle lodges and the superpipe opening.

Value Season Daily Tickets - prices good through 11/23/04. Adults (19-64) $50, Youth (13-18) $38, Child (7-12-) $25, Seniors (65-79) $25.

Mid-week Season Pass - $525 for adults, $419 for youth, $313 for children and seniors. There are some blackout dates and it's only on sale until 12/15/04.

Gold Pass - $1200 for adults, $900 for youth and $600 for children and seniors. This is an unrestricted season pass.

Stay and Ski Free - Lodging prices start at $78 per person/night, double occupancy with some restrictions and you get free lift tickets. Call (800) Mammoth for reservations.

Snowboarding Rail Jam and Demo

The snowboard club is bringing in 10 tons of snow, box/rail and pro riders from all around to do a demo right on the student center lawn [at] UCIrvine. Come check it out on November 17 from 12-2 pm to see the biggest extreme sports event in UCI history! Companies from the industry coming out like Burton, Clive, Mountain High, Mammoth, Chorus, HV Snowboards, Active Ride Shop, Cold as Ice, etc. we will be raffling off season passes, snowboards, gear plus more.  All proceeds are benefiting Make-A-Wish Foundation. Fuel TV will be
turning this event into a Project Detention Show. Come and be on TV!!

Bear Mountain Resorts

Bear Mountain and Snow Summit have a 6-14" base. They will also make snow as conditions permit but no snow is expected through the week.

They have a variety of season passes for Bear Mountain alone or dual passes for both Bear and Snow Summit - visit the website for all the options and purchase on line at their website - here's a sampling....

Bear Anytime, non-holiday Pass - Adults (22+) $349, Young adult/Seniors (13-21/70+) $299, Child (7-12) $119. Prices go up after 11/21/04.

Bear Anytime, unrestricted Pass - Adults (22+) $449, Young adult/Seniors (13-21/70+) $399, Child (7-12) $179. Prices go up after 11/21/04.

Dual Mountain, unrestricted Pass - Adults (22+) $649, Young adult/Seniors (13-21/70+) $529, Child (7-12) $229. Prices go up after 11/21/04.

Family Plans are available on some season passes - generally you get a discount on a season pass for 13-16 year olds if the parent buys the same type of pass - this can save you anywhere from $100-180!!

Mt. High - Boarders Rejoice

Mt. High currently has a 6-12'' base. They'll make snow when they can this week.

Early Season daily tickets prices are $30 for 4 hours, $35 for 8 hours, $27 for night and $17 for children (7-12).

Adventure Ski & Snowboard School
