Subject: Sliding on the Cheap! Steals and Deals for Southern Cal Riders/Skiers!

Hi Powder Junkies,

Southern California received some snow just in time for Valentine's/President's weekend -- hope you all had a good one. And, our Olympic athletes are doing great! Can life be any better? It can if you can get out this week to enjoy the mountains. If you need gear, clothes or accessories, head over to Big 5 for 25-50% off. Then, get on your favorite hill with these deals...

Bear Mountain - 29 Trails & 10 Freestyle Zones
Bring your season pass from another So. Cal. resort for $10 off an all day adult lift ticket or $5 off a teen all day lift ticket (good Sun.-Fri., non-holiday). If you plan to ski/board 2 1/2 days or more, consider the $99 Spring Pass - good 3/1 to end of season. Bear got 2" of new snow over the last weekend and they have been making more for a 30-60" base. Thundercloud Resort offers a ski  package for $75.43 pp/do - it comes with lodging, breakfast and lift.

Mt. High - $29 Ralph's Lift Ticket
Head over to Ralph's Supermarket with your Ralph's card and get a  $29 lift ticket. If you are a beginner, take that ticket to the resort,
pay $10 and get the beginner's package. Mt. High has 24-36" with 2-3" of new snow this past weekend. They are making snow as well. Enter the WINter Sweepstakes online for a chance to get free lift tickets, clothes, gear or a Hawaiian vacation. www.mthigh.com.

This week should warm up but our resorts will have a few days to make some snow before the warm spell. Next week may bring a storm system that could bring some freshies! Check out Sliding on the Cheap's link for other regional newsletters. www.weather.com.

Mammoth - 16" of New White Stuff!!!
Head up to Mammoth - they have an 8-9' base and got 16" this past weekend!  If you plan to ride Mammoth and/or June Mountain 7 or more days next season,
start saving to pick up a Value Pass for $399 (available beginning 4/1/02 through 5/31/02). This pass is good for summer gondola rides and next ski season at both Mammoth and June!!!!!
