You know, i've never really had a *great* day at Sierra. It always seemed a little boring. But i think that might be because i never ventured over to Preacher's, Castle, or Dynamite, off of the Grandview Chair. Most snowboarders tend to avoid bumps, so i guess it took going with a few bump-loving skiers to get me to try these runs. And it was a *blast*. The warm temps (50s) got the bumps to soften up quite nicely, but the shade from the trees kept them from getting too slushy. (That's unlike the flats, where my board stuck like glue. Yech.) All in all, a great day. And i got to ride *hard* too, since the Bay Area Ski Bus was doing driving. Comfortable (well, as comfortable as any bus for 4 hours can be), and a fun group of folks. Highly recommended. :-}
