After spending the weekend at N. Star, with only one run to think about-- one of those random runs way off by rendevous that you have to take that flat, sometimes nearly uphill ridgeline catwalk to get to, I left N.star feeling a bit frustrated. Something is changing in the attitude at N.star. It used to have friendly employers everywhere, but this time, many lift ops seemed to be bothered by something, which is too bad because that's who you come in contact with the most. Also, with only comstock to ride, $45 was a lot to pay. On a positive side, N.Star does know how to create the best snow conditions with what they have. Rocks were the exception on most runs, not the guarentee. But in anycase, with N.Star expanding and building all over the place, much of of their future seems to be rooted in greed rather than in a genuine love of snow. And hey guys, it's beginning to show.
