Details:

What a great weekend! The weather decided to fool all the forecasters, and
instead of the storms they were predicting, we had sunny days both Saturday
and Sunday. Yet the temperature stayed very cool, meaning the snow stayed
*very* nice. The safest bet was to stick to the groomers, but when we did
venture off-piste, it sometimes paid off in what was very very close to
powder! (And of course the other times it was crusty and hardpack, but oh
well. :) Rode with some great folks though, and kept in touch with some
handy radios. Anyways, had a *really* fun time. One of the best couple of
days this season, especially surprising since it hasn't really snowed for a
week or so. Just goes to show that Northstar's grooming and snowmaking is
pretty impressive. (i think a lot of the stuff in the trees was windblown
man-made stuff.) Anyways, once again, i left really happy about Northstar.
(Sorry if i sound like an advertisement for them, but i really had a good
time.)
