Well, for the first day of the season (for me at least), it turned out to be okay. It was disappointing to see that Heavenly put Sky Express on "wind hold," although it looked like it was more a problem of thin coverage, at least from what I could see. Anyway, 5 lifts and the tram were operational, which gave you access to basically two greens and one intermediate. Obviously it would be a little crowded, but many beginners crowded up the intermediate run. (I guess they don't understand the "Advanced skiers only" sign) Lots of people (skiers and snowboarders) blocked the lift drop-off ramps, and the Heavenly staff said nothing; very unlike any resort. Hoping for more snow!
