Woohoo! 4" of new snow... Pssst, hey don't tell anybody, but even though
everybody thinks Northstar = Flatstar, it's an *excellent* place to practice
your tree riding. They have these glades, big open spaces amongst the trees,
that end up being untouched, at 3:00pm, no less! Sure, it's a gentler slope,
but at least there's less a chance of pulling a Sonny Bono here. And it's
just fun! Anyways, just enough new snow on top of a good base (from the rest
of the weekend) kept it fun, as opposed to deeper powder that makes it work.

And oh, i think because all of the "pros" go to Squaw and Alpine, hardly
*anybody* hits the trees. And man... they're missing out. Oh well, keep
going to Squaw and Alpine to fight (or hike) for your first tracks. i'll just
ride Comstock all day and drop in off of various points off of East Ridge.
Pick some trees, any trees.  :-}
