Ahhhh, first day of the season. A Friday - should be empty, right?
Unfortunately, i didn't realize until the day before that it was Veteran's
Day. So... tons of kids. Oh well, it's Boreal, what's new?

Anyways, coverage was surprisingly good. They were running the snowblowers
all day (trying to prep for the weekend, no doubt), and it showed. Good
coverage on the well-trafficked front face, and decent snowpack back on Cedar
Ridge (at least on the wider runs).

Light snow was falling most of the morning, turning heavier at midday.
Between 4-7pm, it *dumped*, at least where we sat on Interstate 80. :-P So,
should definitely be some fresh tomorrow.

Bummer that Lost Dutchman was closed - some really sweet powder to be found
there (but don't turn too deep near any bumps - you might find a barely
covered log or rock). Oh, and be sure you cut back over to Sunset Blvd.
before you get stranded.

All in all, got some good turns in, and didn't wreck my board too badly. If
you stay on the main trails, you shouldn't have any problems.
