For this early in the season, coverage was OUTSTANDING. There was not a single obstacle to be seen on the groomed cruisers - and the fresh powder (6-12") off piste was just absolutely kickass! Only one chair (Accelerator) worth riding - taking you to the top of Boring-al (er - I mean, Boreal). Still, for the first day out - plenty of terrain, as steep as I wanted. Those fresh turns were SWEET! Here's a couple of photos to whet your appetite: Here's a picture of me at the "summit" <grin> - complete with the photographer's thumb obscuring the lens: http://www.jps.net/bglenn/images/billy.jpg (I think that's Sugar Bowl in the background) Once they opened all the terrain (which had not been open over the weekend - so it was totally pristine!) the fun really started: http://www.jps.net/bglenn/images/waterfall.jpg I couldn't believe this view: http://www.jps.net/bglenn/images/untracked.jpg Powder turns on opening day?!?: http://www.jps.net/bglenn/images/freshy.jpg Here's an uphill view, complete with snowblowers blazing: http://www.jps.net/bglenn/images/klondike.jpg
