I went up right after the storm which allowed Boreal to be the first
resort to open in the U.S. I only stayed for a couple of hours and
I was able to make a few turns. At about noon or so the thin snow
turned to mush and Boreal closed down shortly after. The crew was trying

patching up the numerous bare patches.	The

After skiing I went into town and was able to buy a pair of the new
Dabello SGS boots. I was lucky enough to be at Porters when the Dabello
rep was in the store to train the employees! He set me up perfectly and
for the first time, I'm able to have my severe bowleggedness corrected.

If you haven't heard about the boots, they correct alignment problems by
articulating at the base of the boot. No more cants under bindings or
imprecise adjustments.

Although the skiing was poor, I was very happy to get set up in the new
boots before the real season began.
