Sierra-At-Tahoe (Regularly $69/$72)
$35 $35 Learn to Ski/Snowboard Package
$35 beginner package includes a limited access lift ticket, rental equipment and a 2.5-hour lesson. Valid for adults age 13+, Sunday through Friday, non-holiday and excluding Restriction Dates: Dec. 19, 2009 - Jan. 2, 2010, Jan 17 - 18, 2010, Feb 14 - 19, 2010 and all Saturdays. Must pre- purchase and reserve online.
$35 Shell SKI FREE Voucher
From Jan 4-Apr 16, 2010, purchase 10 gallons of gas from Shell stations, get a SKI FREE voucher good for a buy-one-get-one lift ticket at Northstar or Sierra. Valid Sun-Fri, non-holiday (blackout dates: 1/16-18, 2/13-15). Also valid for people buying gas out of state -- just be sure get a stamped voucher, save your receipt, and print out an Exchange Voucher. Crazy good deal!
$43 AmEx Beginner's Package
If you have an American Express Card get 50% off of an one-day Learn-to-Ski/Snowboard Package (normally $85) or a 2-hour private lesson (normally $179). Not valid 12/26-1/2, 1/16-17, 2/13-14. Purchase must be paid in full on AmEx Card. Advance reservations required (530.543.3150). Limit one offer per Cardmember. (Note: you should probably print out and bring the coupons.)
$45 Sierra 3-Pak
Purchase 3 pack of adult lift tickets before Jan. 1, 2010 to get last year's price of $135, good any day, including holidays, consecutive-use not required. Non-transferrable (only good for one person). For young adults (13-22), it's $111 ($37/day).

Present your college ID at the Season Pass/Ticket Office and get discounted lift tickets at Northstar ($59) or Sierra ($54) during these specific weeks (Mon-Fri only): Jan 4-8, Jan 11-15, Mar 22-26, Mar 29-Apr 2, Apr 5-9.
$54 Value Shop Voucher
Free voucher lets you buy a $59 lift ticket to Northstar or $54 ticket to Sierra. Valid from opening until 12/18, 1/3-15 and 3/15 to end of season. Vouchers can be picked up at Partner Shops (PDF link). You can also print coupons from Snowbomb that get you the same deal: Coupons
$57 Costco Lift Ticket Packs
Costco members can buy packs of adult tickets for Kirkwood (2-Pack for $114) , Diamond Peak (2-Pack for $73), Northstar (4-Pack for $265), Sierra (3-Pack for $169) and recently added, Alpine Meadows (2-Pack for $110) from participating Northern California and Nevada stores (call your local store to see if they've got them). Tickets valid anytime, including holidays. And these lift ticket packs can be shared amongst friends and family! Kirkwood tickets can now be ordered online! ($6 more for shipping/handling)

Starting Dec 1, REI members ($20 for lifetime membership) can prepurchase discounted lift tickets at any of their Bay Area stores. You should call first to confirm availability. Northstar tickets can also be exchanged for adult beginner ski or snowboard packages ($99-$114 value!) or can be used as a $75 credit towards children's lesson packages. Cannot be used for a Parent Predicament ticket. Northstar ticket can be used at Sierra and you get a $7 food/beverage/retail credit.

Kiosks at selected Any Mountain locations (they had one at Westgate) let you pre-purchase lift tickets at a discounted rate. Northstar Child = $21, Sierra Child = $17. Sierra Young Adult (13-22) 3-Pak = $111, Sierra Adult 3-Pack = $135. Heavenly Senior = $65, Heavenly Child = $40, Heavenly Teen = $65. Sugar Bowl Young Adult (13-22) = $52.

$39.99 "Gold Tahoe Cards" (include a lift ticket for Sugar Bowl/Kirkwood valid early/late season and Mon-Thu non-holiday) are still available now (12/10) at these select Costco stores! Otherwise a Silver Tahoe Card for the same price only gets you a ticket good at Dodge Ridge (same restrictions) The card also gets you lift ticket discounts obtained by pre-purchasing "e-tickets" on-line, or at some resorts (Boreal, Dodge Ridge, Northstar, Sierra Summit) by simply showing card. Squaw e-tickets valid *any day* including holidays! Northstar discount ($10) only available Mon-Fri, non-holiday. Mt. Rose and Diamond Peak discounts only available non-holiday. Otherwise, prices listed here are for holiday/weekend rates. Prices even cheaper for non-holiday tickets for Diamond Peak ($34 Mon-Fri). Also includes: $10 lift ticket to Diamond Peak (non-holiday); $10 lift ticket for Sierra Summit (non-holiday); FREE trail pass to Tahoe XC; FREE trail pass for Royal Gorge. $62 Pre-purchase at Liftopia
Liftopia's lift ticket prices vary based on what day you want to ski/ride (weekdays cheaper, of course). So I've gone through and found the highest price you'll pay, but there were also cheaper days, as well as a lot of blacked out days. Still, it's worth a look if you have your dates locked down. Here's the price ranges: Bear Valley $35-$50; Diamond Peak $39-40; Homewood $39-42; Sierra-at-Tahoe $56-$62.

$67 BeyondWork pre-purchase
Pre-purchase tickets at discounted prices. The catch? Your company must be registered with BeyondWork -- you'll need to check with your HR/Benefits department. Tickets are all e-tickets, so you can print at home. Sierra ticket includes $7 food & beverage voucher, unless exchanged for one of the following: Beginner package or $75 credit towards children's lesson package. (Exchange also available at Northstar). Child and Teen tickets available for Heavenly and Northstar.
