Support the Sierra Avalanche Center (which provides valuable snowpack stability info for backcountry travelers) by skiing inbounds for cheap! Must pre-purchase through the link on their website. Dates: 1/6 - Kirkwood, 1/13 - Northstar, 2/13 - Mt. Rose, 3/2 - Homewood, 3/7 - Sugar Bowl, 3/30 - Alpine. (Limited quantities, so check back a few weeks before each date and order early!) $42	KSEF Value Book
The Kirkwood Ski Education Foundation sells $39 "Value Books" which include THREE 2-for-1 lift ticket coupons: one good anytime, 2nd good Sun-Fri (excl. holidays), and 3rd good Mon-Fri (excl. holidays). It also includes various coupons for food and ski shops in the Carson Valley, Tahoe and Bay Area. They're available at many locations near you or the KSEF office. [$42 = ($39+$69+$69+72) / 6, but heck, even if you only use the anytime 2-for-1 coupon you'd be ahead, since that'd be $56 = ($39+$72) /2]

$20 (no longer free!) and a valid College ID or proof of full-time enrollment (you should bring a transcript showing at least 12 units) gets you a discount card: $35 Sunday-Friday non-holiday, $45 Saturdays and Holidays.
$54	Costco 2-Packs
Costco members can buy 2-Packs of adult tickets for Kirkwood and Diamond Peak from participating Northern California and Nevada stores (call your local store to see if they've got them). Tickets valid anytime, including holidays. Mik reports that the voucher can also be upgraded to a first-timer package for $20. (So $74 instead of $80. Starting Dec 1, REI members ($15 for lifetime membership) can prepurchase discounted lift tickets at any of their Bay Area stores. You should call first to confirm availability. Northstar/Sierra tickets can also be exchanged for adult beginner ski or snowboard packages ($94-$104 value!) or can be used as a $75 credit towards children's lesson packages. Cannot be used for a Parent Predicament ticket. When used at Sierra as a lift ticket, you also get a $7 food/rentals/services voucher. $49.99 for Gold Tahoe Card (w/ Sugarwood lift ticket), $39.99 for Silver (w/ free rentals & tune-ups), $19.99 for Basic (just lift ticket discounts). Gold Card available at participating Nor Cal/Nevada Costco locations for $39.99. The Sugarwood ticket is valid early/late season at Sugar Bowl or Kirkwood (also good Mon-Thu non-holiday). All cards include entitle you to lift ticket discounts obtained either through pre-purchasing "e-tickets" on-line, or at some resorts (Boreal, Dodge Ridge, Northstar, Sierra, Sierra Summit) by simply showing card. Squaw e-tickets valid any day including holidays! Northstar/Sierra discounts ($10) only available Mon-Fri, non-holiday. Mt. Rose and Diamond Peak discounts only available non-holiday.
