Need More of That Awesome Heavenly Video! Here It Is!

Weekends Are Fine, But Mid-Week is Divine!
As I was blasting down through fresh powder at Alpine Meadows this morning, I couldn't help but think how nice skiing and riding mid-week is compared to a weekend, or busy holiday.

It occurred to me that many of our readers only get a chance to experience Lake Tahoe, along with a million of their closest friends, while I have the entire Beaver Bowl at Alpine all to myself.

Lake Tahoe is a unique destination for skiers and riders. While the weekends can be busy, the mountains empty on Sunday evening, leaving thousands of acres and hundreds of chairlifts to just a few lucky skiers.

Deals? Discounts? Cheap lodging? Mid-week is the bomb for deals, dear sliders. Resorts will offer Bonus Mondays, 2 Fer offers, Shop Discounts and more, just to encourage you to come mid-week.

I can honestly say that the mid-week Tahoe ski experience is superior to the weekend in just every way. The question of course, with kids in school and two income families: how do we get up to Tahoe mid-week?

Planning dear, sliders, is the key. Fridays and Mondays are perfect for adding that one mid-week day. Kids today have an amazing number of holidays, that I never saw. They seem endless, in addition to the standard holidays. Get out a calendar at the beginning of the school season and see when these funky, "teacher conference" days are happening and don't waste them.

Flex-time? We're seeing more flex-time skiers as many companies allow their employees to work at home in an effort to cut costs. Don't wait until three feet of fresh POW hit the slopes before thinking how you should have scheduled that time better.

Life is all about planning. Put your family ski time in the same category as those important family events that are planned months in advance.

Weekends are fine, but dear sliders, mid-week is (absolutely) divine.
