Hello Sliders!
Here we are in (early) October, and the ski/snowboard season is (finally) upon us. Boreal will open on Friday and both Loveland and A-Basin have opened in Colorado. While chest-deep powder is still weeks away, it's always exciting to see photos of the snow guns firing. Opening dates? You'll have to stay tuned sliders, as it will depend upon cold temperatures and some help from Mother Nature.
*The Skinny
What is your best source for (accurate) information on Lake Tahoe skiing/riding? SOTC of course! And, we'll save you money in the process. Sign-up for our newsletter and get the scoop first!
*More Swag
That's right. This season we'll have more swag for our (dear) readers than ever before, with lift tickets, lodging and Sport Basement Gift Certificates. Check every newsletter to see if you're sliding free, courtesy of SOTC.
*Do You Have a Season Pass?
This season, we're going to have our Crew getting deals on lodging and food for you passholders!
This week, we've got lots of great early season deals for our readers... and there's more on the way.
*Join The SOTC Crew
How can we ski/ride every day and still deliver you AWESOME info? We can't! We need new crew:

Sure, a chance to meet the SOTC crew would be an experience you'd remember forever, but what if you bumped into an Olympic Gold Medal winner and World Cup World Champion while hanging out in Lake Tahoe.
With the Winter Olympics at Vancouver/Whistler just around the corner, we thought you might be interested to know the person sitting next to you at the local Truckee coffee shop, or on the chair at Squaw Valley might be an Olympic Gold Medalist. If it's Tamara McKinney you're getting BOTH an Olympic Gold Medalist and World Cup World Champion, certainly one of the greatest ski racers ever.
Tamara traveled around the globe to compete for the United States in three Olympic Games and 14 years on the alpine World Cup circuit. She became the first American woman to win the overall World Cup Title, 3 World Cup Discipline Titles, 18 individual World Cup wins, a gold medal, 4 bronze medals & 10 national titles.
Imagine your realtor selling you an AWESOME Tahoe crib, then proceeding to WAX you on any slope in any conditions...at any time! That might happen if your Realtor is Tamara McKinney.
After retiring from ski racing, Tamara returned home to live full time in Squaw Valley and raise her family here. Along with selling real estate with Chase International, Tamara coaches for the Squaw Valley Ski Team on the weekends. The SVST was awarded "Best race program in the country." Coaching gives Tamara a chance to give back to the sport of skiing. With over 800 kids in the entire SVST program this is also a great opportunity to meet new buyers & sellers!
If you're interested in Tahoe Real Estate while it's still a bargain, check out Tamara's website and tell her your (local) SOTC Crew sent you, dear sliders.
