Hello Sliders!

Yes dear sliders, if you're hanging out in Northern California, it seems more like summer than the edge of winter, yet, in Tahoe many resorts are making snow and our guess is one or more will open on or before Thanksgiving. We'll let you know if anything exciting happens, so you won't have to find out after the fact.

Sports Basement Snow Fest!
I want to especially thank Northstar and Sierra and all the resorts who were kind enough to lend their support to the Sports Basement Snow Fest. We had a great time and saw plenty of SOTC readers taking advantage of the discounts and chatting up the resort crews in attendance.

Our Esteemed Meteorologist!
Mike Pechner, KCBS and SOTC forecasting guru says that he expects a change in the weather by end of next week, including snow in the Sierra. After that, expect a storm-packed December. Yes dear sliders, it's on the way, ready or not!

Who is opening? What? When? Where?
Every resort we chatted with today says they are poised to open and several are making snow at night. Generally, resorts open with discounted lift tickets given the limited terrain. As loyal sliders, you won't have to guess where the best deals will be---cause we'll know and pass that info right along, as usual.

What is Sliding on the Cheap?
The Sliding on the Cheap newsletter is free and is delivered once a week during the season and twice monthly during the fall! What will you find? Yes, and we give away FREE lift passes, (and swag) to SOTC readers selected at random from our list each and every week!
